Justified Gallery

Description

This simple plugin brings the native WordPress gallery to a higher level by adding a nice justified image grid and a pretty lightbox.
Just install and activate the plugin. That’s all.

Create galleries as before, but enjoy the responsive layout, beautiful justified image grid and handy lightbox.

I love the native WordPress gallery. It’s easy to use and as intuitive as possible. Everything would be perfect if it were not for the column layout and lack of lightbox. Many themes display the WordPress gallery in an ugly and “no eye-catching” way. This was my inspiration to write this simple plugin.

Features

  • Easy to use. You can use the native WordPress gallery just as you did before
  • Beautiful, justified layout thanks to Justified Gallery by Miro
  • Support of image descriptions. Descriptions can also be turned off on a settings page
  • Lightbox. The gallery can be viewed with popular PhotoSwipe by Dmitry Semenov
  • Responsiveness. The gallery adapts to various screen width options. It works perfectly on mobile devices

A great gallery improvement for the "vanilla" galleries we already have. A must have becasue the old galleries are a bit obsolete when we need to create some photography website, and this plugin allows for a revival of old galleries without too much issues. Just a few basic configuration details and its all set. Perfectly possible to use with other galleries, since each one has its own mode of creating content. JG only affects the standard galleries by the native WordPress instalation. Every other galleries remain unchanged. Cheers

This is great addon, simple and efficient. Before this, every time I've trained somebody to enter the contents to a WP site it was like a nuclear science because I've always use unnecessary complicated gallery engines. This does the essential - adds the lightbox functionality, something that WP gallery should have long time ago, and makes life of every content contributor so easy.

I've tried many plugins and I chose this, definitely my favourite: 5 stars. Stylish design, easy to use, light and practical. My only complain: when opening the lightbox, pictures are displayed in a slightly lower quality, with a slightly blurred image compared to the original. Only by expanding them to full screen mode they get back to their true appearance.
