Description

QuickWebP is an image compression and optimization plugin for WordPress that automatically converts images to WebP when they are uploaded to the media library. It also optimizes the image to improve your site’s performance. The plugin also renames the image file to the WebP format and cleans up the file name for better SEO. Additionally, the plugin uses the cleaned up name to pre-populate the alt, caption, description, legend, and title metadata, making image management on your site easier. You can also set a maximum width and height for the image, which will automatically resize it if necessary. No API is required and the plugin is completely free, with no subscriptions or additional fees.

For use like QuickWebP, you can activate the module “Media encoder” in the settings of WPMasterToolKit.

Installation

  1. Install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress
  3. Go to Media / QuickWebP and configure the plugin

Does the extension replace existing images?

The extension converts the uploader image to webp format and replaces it with the webp image.
The extension does not replace existing images. If you want this functionality you can contact us.

Can I resize my images with this extension?

Yes, you can configure it in the Resize tab.

Can I change the compression setting to save more space?

Yes, by default we set it to 75 but you can change that in the plugin settings.

Do you use the Imagify API, tinyPNG or other?

No, we do not use an API to compress images. Everything is done locally on your server at the time of upload.

Can I use this extension with a CDN or with a caching plugin?

Yes, you can use this extension with a CDN or caching plugin such as WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, etc.

What image formats are supported?

Supported image formats are: JPG, PNG.

QuickWebP porte bien son nom ! C’est rapide, simple et efficace. Copie/Colle ton image. Écris ce que tu veux pour nommer ou décrire et le plugin prend tout en charge. Il remplit toutes les cases (ALT, Légende, etc) et converti au format le plus léger : webp. Que vouloir de + ? Et c’est gratuit.

C’est la seule extension 100% gratuite et sans connexion API avec inscription qui fait 100% le job qu’on lui demande. Quoi de mieux qu’un plugin avec lequel on ne se prend pas la tête pour ses conversations Webp ? En plus, plus besoin de réfléchir aux balises Alt, le plugin les remplis automatiquement pour vous avec le nom du fichier. 😱 Je ne peux que recommander à tous ce merveilleux outils 🛠️

Belle découverte, simple et efficace. Pas de harcèlement publicitaire ni de limites Premium. Le top pour un module gratuit. Une mise à jour est cependant peut-être requise puisque WordPress dit qu’il n’a pas été mis à jour depuis 3 MAJmajeures de WP.

Très étonné par la rapidité et l’efficacité de l’extension. C’est simple, çà fonctionne… une excellente alternative, gratuite qui plus est, à des ténors trop plébiscités alors que des petites pépites comme celle-ci ne le sont pas !2 éléments particulièrement appréciables : la barre de réglage permettant de gérer comme on le souhaite sa compression (avec un aperçu immédiat pour s’assurer du résultat avant de valider) et le fonctionnement local de la compression, qui permet un traitement rapide de ses fichiers. Top!
